24 September 2019

As part of Leeds City Council's Connecting Leeds programme signal upgrades to the bus gate and pedestrian crossing near to Gloucester Terrace on Armley road will start on Tuesday 7 January.

To accommodate this it will be necessary to temporarily close a small section of the inbound cycle lane from the Armley Link Junction to the pedestrian/cycle crossing adjacent to the SPAR garage.

Details of the section to be closed and the advisory signage are shown in the image. This closure will last approximately three weeks.

Works on the main highway will take place at the same time, lasting for approximately four weeks. Construction activity will take place Monday to Friday, from 7:30pm to 6:00am.

Traffic management measures will be put in place, however as these works are being undertaken at night, significant traffic disruption is not expected.
